With the holidays right around the corner, we are getting ready to welcome some out of town visitors to our home.  In addition to providing some basic supplies (see this post), I wanted to leave a little note to welcome our friends and family to our home.  I was going to leave a hand written note on the bed, but decided to surprise our guests with a more fun approach.
Fun way to make guests feel welcome in your home
Using a dry erase pen, I left a quick little note on the guest bathroom mirror.  I thought it would be a nice way to greet our guests and make them feel welcome.  I love this idea because the message can be tailored to the guests, a holiday, an event or anything really.  You could even draw pictures to depict your note – Pictionary style!

I realize this is not a mind blowing idea, but I just love it so I thought I’d share.  I am going to start leaving notes on the guest bathroom mirror every time we have guests.  I might even have Lovebug embellish the notes with decorations.  It’s the little things that make me happy. 🙂

Hello Friends!

So, I consciously decided to take a little time off from my beloved blog this summer.  I thought I’d take a couple weeks to travel and take care of some things around the house.  And now here we are more then THREE MONTHS LATER and I haven’t posted a single word, until now.

What can I say…. time got away from me.  We took a couple trips, dealt with some illnesses (nothing serious, thank goodness!) and then I started a new job.  I LOVE my new job, but it took me longer than expected to establish a routine and get my bearings.  The transition from working from home full time to going into an office regularly took some getting used to!

I’m happy to report that we have finally gotten into a rhythm and I have carved out some time to focus on blogging again.  I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed it but assure you that my hands have been itching to get back to it.  The good news is that the cooking, projects, etc. never stopped around here, so I have lots of good stuff to share with you starting next week!!

I’ll be back on Sunday with our menu for the week and will follow that with my regular schedule (see below).  I’m so excited to get back to it and hope you’ll stop by to check it out.

~ Sam
